Ban the Brotherhood

An Afghan jihadist recently murdered a National Guard soldier in Washington, D.C. The attacker was reportedly radicalized after he came here. If so, in all likelihood, it was the result of the inspiration and perhaps the actual handiwork of the support network created and operated by the Muslim Brotherhood to impose subversively Islam’s toxic sharia doctrine in America.

That would be just the latest indication that the Muslim Brotherhood is currently the greatest threat to the internal security of the United States and a peril to our constitutional Republic. After all, it explicitly seeks the destruction of America and the imposition of totalitarian sharia in this country and worldwide.

We need to Ban the Brotherhood to counter its successes to date in achieving those goals and wherever possible prevent further damage from being done. The place to start is by President Trump’s designating the parent organization and its U.S. chapter as terrorist organizations. Texas Governor Greg Abbott did just that on November 18th – and we need the President to do the same.

That’s because the Muslim Brotherhood has spawned and is a driving force behind jihadist operatives and organizations globally. Its principal patrons are two putative U.S. allies Qatar (funding) and Turkey (logistical, intelligence, material and other support).

Under the guise of constitutionally protected religious practice, the Brotherhood has, over the past sixty years, established in this nation a vast infrastructure of radical clerics, mosques serving as arsenals and military training facilities, hundreds of subversive front organizations, sharia-adherent communities and populations, overt and covert funding sources and terror cells.

At some point, the Brothers’ sharia doctrine requires violent jihad to achieve, as their master plan puts it, “the triumph of Allah’s religion over all other religions.” Until they are strong enough to succeed through physical violence, they seek to advance the same objective via stealthy, pre-kinetic means. But as things stand now, their infrastructure and capabilities could be literally weaponized in short order. Consequently, action aimed at defeating the Muslim Brotherhood must be taken at the earliest possible opportunity.
