DETRACT SB 871 (VAX Mandate for K-12 CA Students) Now!

The time for action is now for the Board of Education of the Poway Unified School District (PUSD), following the example set by many other school districts in California that have already adopted resolutions objecting to Governor Newsom's K-12 vaccine mandates.

On January 24, 2022, Senator Richard Pan introduced a new bill that, if passed, would require all K-12 California students to be inoculated with the COVID vaccine. The passage of this bill would give license to California schools to circumvent the CDPH process, including the requirements of FDA approval, providing options for personal belief exemptions that Governor Newsom promised on October 1, 2021 would remain available. That means: NO FDA approval necessary, NO options for belief exemptions, NO liability for pharmaceutical companies, schools, or the government, and NO clinical trial results necessary.

We are demanding this bill be retracted for the following reasons:


1) Mandating a drug that has the same level of adverse reactions and horrific safety profile as the COVID vaccine, which has been issued and administered under an EUA,
as a condition of attending school, is a criminal construct.

2) Sen. Pan claims unvaccinated children pose a "public health risk" to their peers and that we must vaccinate them to "make sure schools are safe." However, the data does not support this claim--children are at incredibly low risk of COVID complications, and the vaccines do not prevent transmission. There is no public health imperative for children to receive this treatment. Secondly, no healthy children are being harmed or killed by COVID-19, but it is clear from publicly-available data that numerous healthy kids have been harmed or killed by the COVID vaccines. Deciding whether a child's risk for COVID overrides the risk of the vaccine is a decision that should be made by the child's PARENTS!

3) There is zero long-term data on the effects of requiring 3 mRNA-based shots within a 12-month period to be considered "up to date," and we still have no information on how frequently new "boosters" will be required.
