Republicans Fought for No Tax on Tips and Overtime

Arizona Republicans stood firm to deliver historic tax relief for working families, pushing full state conformity with President Trump's tax package. That means no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, a $6,000 deduction for seniors, and a larger standard deduction. As Senate President Warren Petersen noted, Arizona is now the only state in the nation to fully adopt these federal tax cuts for its citizens.

Governor Katie Hobbs vetoed the tax conformity package when Republicans first put it on her desk in early 2026, and then vetoed it again. She only agreed to sign these tax cuts months later, during budget negotiations, because legislative Republicans refused to back down.

She vetoed your tax cut. Republicans got it done anyway.

Don't let state leaders compromise your hard-earned paycheck. Keep the Legislature Republican.
