Should 23andMe share your DNA without your consent?

Montana State Sen. DANIEL ZOLNIKOV, R-Billings has a bill to make sure that they can't.

Senate Bill 351, the Genetic Information Privacy Act, requires companies like Ancestry.com and 23andMe to obtain your consent before sharing with third parties (e.g. police, researchers).

Time is running out.

The bill is waiting for the Governor's signature, but large corporations have opposed it.
