STOP the AAP!

The American people voted for vaccine reform in the 2024 election. That mandate has now been overridden by court order.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), a private trade association with deep financial and institutional ties to the vaccine industry, is waging lawfare against Secretary Kennedy to stop even the most modest vaccine reforms.

There is now no functioning federal vaccine advisory panel.

The current ACIP members appointed by Secretary Kennedy are not allowed to perform their duties. They are not recognized as a valid advisory body. They cannot meet, deliberate, or issue recommendations about vaccines or vaccine safety.

The ACIP meeting scheduled for this week to discuss the critical issue of COVID-19 vaccine injury has been canceled. No further meetings or actions on vaccine safety review can take place unless and until the courts resolve this case. That process could take years, extending beyond Secretary Kennedy’s term. That is their apparent intent.

The recent reduction of the childhood schedule under Kennedy's leadership, from vaccines for 17 diseases down to 11 pending proper safety review, is now halted. The resolution to move the Covid-19 vaccine off the schedule for children, and let parents and doctors discuss and decide, is effectively nullified, and the change to delay the birth dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine to two months of age is now effectively reversed -- all pending resolution of the lawsuit.

AAP and its co-plaintiffs do not want meaningful reform. They do not want open debate or independent evaluation. They want the opposite. They want to silence viewpoints that threaten the status quo. They want to preserve their institutional power and block a deeper safety review that might reveal the inconvenient truth about vaccines.

Their actions betray their claimed interest in child health, revealing a single-minded focus on protecting the ever-expanding vaccine schedule, promoted without cumulative safety review and influenced by institutions with financial ties to the system. All while we watch American children continue to get sicker.

That status quo is not only ideological, it is economic: an expanding vaccine schedule means more vaccine purchases, more pediatrician visits, more federal incentive payments, and more revenue for manufacturers and the institutions tied to the system.

If this is allowed to stand, it sets a dangerous precedent: a private, economically interested trade association can use the courts to shut down federal scientific review and override executive branch health policy. That is regulatory capture enforced through litigation.

Voters supported a different direction: greater transparency, accountability, and independent oversight, as well as real answers to the underlying causes of the childhood chronic disease epidemic.

By completing this AlignAct, you will be notifying your members of the U.S. Congress that you want immediate action to stop the AAP lawfare and express their support for Secretary Kennedy and his HHS vaccine reforms. You will also be posting a demand for action directly to the X profiles of key members of Congress who oversee federal health policy and the agencies responsible for vaccine recommendations, including all members of the House Energy & Commerce Committee and the Senate HELP Committee.

Demand that the people’s mandate for vaccine reform be honored — and that this lawfare be brought to an end.
