Stop the Pesticide Cover-Up
Turning Point Action
Take Action Now
The Supreme Court's ruling in Monsanto v. Durnell strips Americans of the right to sue pesticide companies when their products cause harm, illness, and even death to American families. Under this ruling, a pesticide manufacturer is shielded from lawsuits as long as its label was approved by the EPA, no matter what the company hid from the public or how many people got sick. Families poisoned by pesticide exposure, parents who watched a loved one develop cancer, farmworkers who breathed in chemicals they were never warned about, would have no legal recourse, while chemical companies keep every incentive to stay quiet about known dangers and none to warn the people using their products. This ruling doesn't just protect a company's bottom line. It tells every pesticide manufacturer in America they can hide a deadly risk and never answer for it. Congress can reverse this ruling, but the vote is tomorrow, August 6.
Call your Senators today and urge them to vote YES on the amendment to reverse Durnell. Together we can protect Americans' right to hold pesticide companies accountable in court.
"“This isn't about politics. It's about whether billion-dollar chemical companies should be above the law. If a product harms people, the company should be accountable.”"
