We are facing an increasingly ominous threat from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Worse yet, the retirement funds of American retirees and investors – largely unwittingly – are literally underwriting the CCP’s dangerous, provocative behavior toward our country and allies.

If you are a participant in the U.S. federal government’s pension fund known as the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), you may be aware that the TSP has included investments that directly or indirectly fund the CCP. Despite executive action in 2020 to stop such investments, the TSP continues to allow our servicemen and women’s retirement dollars, and those of civilian government employees – including Members of Congress – to finance the People’s Republic of China malign activities at home and abroad.

The U.S. Senate will be voting on the annual National Defense Authorization Act this month. Your representatives and their colleagues could amend this bill by including S. 1665, which legally requires the TSP to stop investments in the PRC. Please consider sending the attached email to your Senators* at once.

Thank you.

* We make it easy for you to also send this email to your Representative in Congress, House Speaker Pelosi and Minority Leader McCarthy, President Biden, and other senior Executive Branch officials – all TSP investors – and members of the Thrift Savings Plan board.
