WHY IS THERE SILENCE?

As a Western democracy, why is the US not publicly standing up for our Canadian neighbors?

The citizens of Canada, led by truckers, have been peacefully protesting mandates and vaccine passports, as is their right, for the last 3 weeks with no violence.

Rather than meeting and engaging in conversation, Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau is invoking the Emergency Measures (previously called the War Powers Act). This has NEVER been used in peacetime. And NEVER against peaceful citizens. This gives the government broad powers against Canadian citizens including freezing their bank accounts.

In recent weeks, the very popular Canadian truckers convoy has laid bare the concerns of millions of ordinary citizens around the world who value peace, personal responsibility and liberty.

The Ottawa protest presented the Canadian government with a wonderful opportunity to meet with and speak to ordinary Canadians lawfully and peaceably asking for an end to all mandates and vaccine passports.

In response to the citizens singing, praying, dancing, feeding homeless, cleaning streets, giving speeches about the constitution and outpourings of patriotic love for their country, the Canadian government refused to meet with them.

Trudeau and his government refused to hear their concerns and instead insulted, denigrated and lied about these peaceful citizens, further dividing a hurting and broken nation.

All elected US representatives have a duty to denounce the abuse of power by the Canadian government against peaceful citizens exercising their right to peaceful protest.
