HB2481 is an important bill to protect self-governance and consent of the governed, which is guaranteed by our State Constitution, but not always followed by local jurisdictions.

- Establishes the right of the people to address their government at public meetings

- Allows for public meeting rules to maintain decorum, order and run efficiently

- Requires public agendas to include links to all pertinent documentation

- Fair to all citizens and elected officials

- Similar laws already adopted in North Dakota, Louisiana, Hawaii, California
